Ash2Ash releases their fourth CD: He Will Meet You Where You Are!

Ash2Ash released their long-awaited fourth CD, He Will Meet You Where You Are, in July 2008! This CD is a landmark project in that it is the first featuring the joint efforts of Ray Jones and Terry Metz, transitioning Ash2sh to a more contemporary gospel genre.

"We have been so blessed on this project. God's presence was evident throughout."

Ash2Ash hosts First Annual Concert for Christ

Praise God! What a blessed event the 2007 Concert for Christ was! Soul Allegiance, Louise Evans, Sam Stilwell, and the Westview Baptist Church Altar Call Band joined Ash2Ash on stage at the Martinsburg War Memorial Park Main Pavillion and Stage on Sept. 7, 2007. We were also blessed with speakers Pastor Ray Smith, Pastor Charles Maves, Terry Metz, Charlie Hall, and Albert Epps. This event had nearly 300 in attendance, and over 7 different denominations joining together for an evening of fellowship, praise and worship. Thank you to all those who joined us to support this event, as well as all those who have written or called to testify of the blessings they received that evening! If you have a blessing or testimony of how Ash2Ash has in someway impacted your life, please email us at info@Ash2Ash.com.

Ash2Ash Performs at Annual March for Christ

An annual event in Martinsburg, WV, the March for Christ brings together Christians from multiple denominations in the area. When Faye Hose approached Ash2Ash about performing at the close of this event, Ray and Mike wholeheartedly accepted the invitation to lift up the name of our Lord Jesus in song. Despite rainy conditions, the walk from the Caperton Train Station to Martinsburg High School went off as planned on June 3, 2007, drawing in an auditorium full of attendees to hear speakers Chuck Triggs, Chuck Donivan and David Palmer, as well as hear performances by Jim and Brenda Sheppard, Faye Hose, and the closing act of Ash2Ash who had the attendees standing to "Praise the King!"

Ash2Ash Performance at Sea

Ash2Ash recently returned from the first Gospel Concert at Sea, promoted by Wayne Gooden. Performing and spreading God's wonderful message alongside gospel legends and Dove Award Winners Russell Easter, Sr., and Russell Easter, Jr., Ash2Ash was honored to have Russell, Jr., and son Jason sit in on their portion of the shows. Stopping at ports in San Juan, St. Thomas, Dominican Republic, as well as the clear water beaches of the Grand Turk Islands, it was easy to see the results of God's mighty paintbrush -- beauty, truly stunning to the eyes.

Ash2Ash Performance at The Pentagon's "First Annual Gospel Jubilee" earns them a spotlight appearance with Gospel Great Stella Parton

Ash2Ash duo Ray Jones and Mike Unger were a hit at the First Annual Gospel Jubilee at the Pentagon on Friday, June 16,2006. When it was stage time for Gospel Great/ Humanitarian Award Winning Stella Parton, she requested Ray and Mike join her on stage. The three sang a medley of old favorites like "I'll Fly Away" and " Power in The Blood." The performance was the grand finale of the event.

Calling themselves Ash2Ash, the two lifelong friends, Ray Jones and Mike Unger play with style and a strong positive message that evokes emotion from the crowd. Jones and Unger performed their hits "Forevermore," "The Chosen One," and "One Step Closer." All three cuts are off their latest CD "One Step Closer," an acoustic effort, written, played and produced by the pair from West Virginia.

The concert followed an Awards Ceremony where Stella Parton and Wayne A. Gooden each received Distinguised Humanitarian Awards presented by Emmanuel Baptist College's founder Dr. William Reynolds. The Gospel Jubilee was produced by Wayne A. Gooden and filmed live by Lamp Music out of Atlanta, Georgia.

Ash2Ash was formed in 2005 when Ray Jones and Mike Unger both underwent life-changing events. Ray lost a wife after a seven-year battle with cancer in June 2005. Mike, a single parent of a child with disabilities, has faced numerous life-and-death surgeries with his son. Instead of becoming bitter, both men started on a journey that has taken them as their latest CD suggests "One Step Closer." Their first Christian CD, "In These Troubled Times," produced in just two short months and featuring "Hold On" written for Theresa, received five-star reviews. Their second CD, "One Step Closer" - featuring the title song and their signature song "Forevermore" -- has been in high demand.

Ash2Ash can be found playing nearly every week in churches in the West Virginia/Baltimore/D.C. area, as well as at special events such as this one at the Pentagon. They play for The Lord.

When asked about being invited to perform at the Pentagon in a line-up that included such gospel greats as Stella Parton, the Camp Family, Leviticus, Welton Lane and Tex Deaton, Jones commented, "We feel honored and blessed to be included at this event. We're just the messengers, it's all about God. If we can save just one person, it's worth it all." Unger added, "There is nothing like the feeling of seeing someone go up to the altar and give their life over to God."
