Christian Music Ministry

About Ash2Ash
Ash2Ash Christian Music Ministry consists of combinations of the talents of several artists: Ray Jones, Mike Unger, Sam Stilwell and Terry Metz. These members of Ash2Ash are no strangers to the music industry. Their friendship and musical journey began as members of the highly-successful country music group Rivers Edge, who performed at such great venues as the prestigious Ellipse in our nation’s capitol and as a part of Willie Nelson’s Farm Aid, releasing three CDs, including one under the direction of two-time Grammy winner Larry Butler. They also recorded together as Tilhance, an internationally-recognized blues group.
But God had other plans for these men. At the height of their country-music careers, each faced life-changing personal crises in their lives. Having overcome these challenges and tragedies, Ash2Ash not only ministers through their original music, but also reaches out with their own personal testimonies as they know it is only through the miracle of God’s Grace that they are where they are today. It is these testimonies, as well as their obviously sincere faith and desire to share God's Word, that reaches their audiences, allowing them to blend music with ministry. Through their original soul-filled contemporary melodies, Ash2Ash has developed a truly unique style which delivers life-changing messages of God's love to young and old alike.
Ash2Ash currently has five CD’s. Their latest CD, “Rise Up", features nine contemporary Christian songs. From the uplifting title track about Christians rising up to testify for Jesus on life’s witness stand to "Almost Home," the heartfelt ballad about understanding the day we'll get to glory being very near, this CD rings of God’s presence in the Ash2Ash ministry. All recordings on the CD are original works, written by the members of Ash2Ash, truly blessings straight from God.
Ash2Ash has been truly blessed to share their gift of music ministry throughout West Virginia , Washington D.C. , Virginia , Maryland , Pennsylvania, Georgia and the Caribbean. Special appearances have included the 2006 National Breast Cancer Coalition Conference; Full Gospel Pentecostal Summer 2006 Camp Meeting with Carla and the Redemptions; the first ever Gospel Concert at the Pentagon in Washington D.C. in 2006 with gospel great Stella Parton; the September 11th Memorial Service at Fort Gordon, GA; hymn sing concerts with the Bowmans; the first Gospel Concert at Sea in November 2006 in the Caribbean with Dove Award Winners The Easter Brothers; the 2009 Christian Enlightening Festival; and a fundraiser event with Dove Award-Winning Gospel Artist Jason Crabb. They continue as well to perform at numerous locations for charity events and community fundraisers, as well as hosting community fundraisers in support of food banks.
“Our mission is to lift up the name of our Lord Jesus Christ by sharing God’s love through testimony and song. Our Prayer is that our music will touch the hearts of the lost and strengthen Christians in their faith,” professes Ray Jones. Ray carries on the tradition in the family -- his father was Rev. Raymond Jones, who pastored Full Gospel Pentecostal Church in Martinsburg, WV, and evangelized through several churches, radio and television for over 52 years, reaching from Canada to Mexico. Ray himself has recently graduated from Ames Bible University's ministry studies program, continuing a family tradition of praising God through evangelization and music!
